We are a small independent business, and we genuinely value our customers in the European Union and UK. We want to continue offering our special editions to EU and UK customers rather than restricting or discontinuing EU and UK shipping.

We understand that EU and UK consumer protection laws provide customers with certain rights regarding online purchases, including a statutory right of withdrawal in applicable circumstances. We will always respect and comply with the consumer rights that apply to your order.

At the same time, we ask customers to purchase responsibly and only place orders they genuinely intend to keep. As a small business, cancellations, returns, payment processing costs, shipping expenses, and associated transaction fees can have a significant impact on us.

We reserve the right to restrict or refuse future purchases from customers where we reasonably believe there has been repeated or abusive use of our cancellation, return, or refund processes. This does not affect or restrict any statutory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Our goal is not to prevent EU and UK customers from purchasing from us. Quite the opposite, we want to keep serving our EU and UK customers and continue making our special editions available internationally.

By purchasing from us, we ask that you please consider your purchase carefully and respect the fact that we are a small business operating with limited resources.

14-Day Right of Withdrawal (EU & UK Customers)
If you are a resident of the European Union (EU) or the United Kingdom (UK), you have the right to cancel your order and return your purchase for any reason within 14 days.
  • The Return Window: You have 14 days from the day you (or a third party designated by you) physically receive your items to request a return.
  • How to Request a Return: To exercise your right to cancel, you must inform us of your decision through a clear statement. You can do this by using the contact form on our website, clicking the floating button "Withdraw contract" in our website, or emailing us directly at info@exclusibooks.com.

Return Shipping Costs
  • Buyer Responsibility: The buyer is responsible for paying all shipping costs associated with returning the item to our facility in Canada. Return shipping costs are non-refundable.
  • International Tracked Shipping: We highly recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item, and we cannot issue refunds for items lost in transit.
  • Customs and Duties: Please clearly mark the return package as "CANADIAN GOODS RETURNED" on the customs declaration. Any customs duties, taxes, or import fees incurred by us due to an improperly marked return package will be deducted from your final refund amount.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your item and whether your refund is approved.
  • What We Refund: If approved, we will refund the full purchase price of the item plus the cost of our standard outbound shipping.
  • Express Shipping Exclusion: If you chose an express or premium shipping method at checkout, we will only refund the amount of our cheapest standard shipping option. You will not be refunded for the premium shipping surcharge.
  • Timeline: We will process your refund within 14 days of receiving the returned goods, or within 14 days of you providing verifiable proof that the item has been shipped back to us. Refunds will be issued to the original method of payment.

Exceptions to Returns

The 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to:
  • Custom-made, personalized, or bespoke items.
  • Perishable goods or items that deteriorate rapidly.
  • Sealed goods that were unsealed after delivery and are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons.
